Idle Agekeepers

Privacy Policy

Draft. This text is waiting for legal review and is not final.

Last updated: [date]. This draft describes what the game does today. A lawyer must review it, and the owner must confirm the company name, contact and regions before it is published or linked from a store.

Who we are. Ember Gaming ("we"), [registered company details]. Contact: [privacy contact email, for example support@embergaming.studio].

What we collect. To run the game we store an account id from Unity Authentication, the username you choose, your game progress, and a record of purchases (store, transaction id, product) and of rewarded ads you watched. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the id that provider gives the game, not your password. If you play as a guest, no email is needed.

Ads. The game can show rewarded video ads through Unity LevelPlay. The ad network may collect your advertising id, device information, IP address and how you interact with ads. In the EU/UK and other regions we ask for your consent first; on iOS we ask for tracking permission. You can change your choice [where in the game].

Crash reports. In release builds, once you have answered the age question, the game sends crash and error reports to Sentry (stack trace, app version, device model and operating system version, with text that could contain ids removed). They contain no username, account id, name or IP address, and are used only to fix bugs. On our server, errors are also reported to Sentry without request contents or sign-in tokens.

Gameplay statistics. Only if you tick "Share anonymous gameplay statistics" on the first-run screen (unticked by default, separate from the ad choice) and you are 16 or older, the game sends a few anonymous events to PostHog: tutorial step reached, first craft, first purchase screen opened, ad offered or opted in, age reached, prestige count, and session start, with the app version and platform. They use a random install id that is not linked to your account, set no person profile and store no location; if you switch statistics off the id is deleted. You can change the choice at any time in Settings. We do not collect these statistics for players under 16.

Age. On first start we ask which age group you are in (under 13, 13 to 15, 16 or older). We store only the group, not your birth date. Players under 16 only get ads that are not personalized, no gameplay statistics, and crash reports without sessions; players under 13 also get the child-directed ad settings.

Purchases. Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We receive confirmation of what you bought, never your payment details.

Why we use it. To provide the game, keep your progress, give you what you bought, stop cheating and abuse, and show ads.

Who we share it with. Unity (sign-in, purchasing, ads), our hosting and database providers (Render, Supabase), and Google or Apple when you sign in or buy. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it. Until you delete your account. [State the retention for purchase records.]

Your choices and rights. In the game, open Settings > Account to download your data or delete your account. Deletion erases your progress, username and rewards and removes your sign-in. If you no longer have the game, use [deletion page URL] or write to [contact]. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct or object; contact us.

Children. The game is for players aged [13+, to decide]. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children; [what we do if we learn we have].

Security. Data travels over HTTPS, the server checks who you are on every request, and the database is not reachable from the game.

International transfers. Our providers may process data in [regions]. [Safeguards.]

Changes. We will post changes here and update the date.
